ABUSED & NEGLECTED PETS
|
|
If you see an animal that does not have proper shelter from the weather, is not getting fed or does not have
a water dish....this animal is being neglected. Other forms of neglect are: not properly grooming (especially long haired animals) and not increasing the collar size as the animal grows.
Abuse is very easy to recognize. Seeing a dog hit or kicked, being choked, having the tail or other body
hair set on fire, having rubber bands placed around the limbs or tails, having their head held under water etc. These are horrible acts and should be reported immediately.
If you know of an animal that is being abused or neglected, please report it to your local humane officer.

SPAY & NEUTER
|
|
Please do your part to prevent pet overpopulation.
Did You Know????
Spayed & Neutered Pets Behave Better:
Males will no longer search for a mate or mark their territory. Indoor males will not try to hump furniture or someones leg. Females will no longer be in heat and attract male dogs
Sprayed & Neutered Pets Live Longer:
Neutering a male (removing the testicles) prevents testicular cancer, prostate disease and hernias Spaying a female (removing the ovaries and uterus) prevents pyometra (a pus-filled uterus) and breast cancer. Breast cancer can be fatal in about half of the female dogs and 90% of the female cats |
